The Valley of Vision

(From the collection of Puritan writings)

The valley of vision
is the place of paradox.

Here, the one who wants to save his life
loses it for the sake of Another.

Here, strength is perfected in weakness,
and the greatest is the servant of all.

Living in the depths,
we see Him in the heights,

Learning that the way down
is the way up,

To be low
is to be high,

And to bear the cross
is to wear the crown.

Yeah, I needed to hear this :)

  2. Hmmm, indeed.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before them that we should walk in them." Eph. 2:10

This is what I first opened to today:

    Thou God of my end,
    Thou has given me a fixed disposition to go forth and spend my life for thee;
If it be thy will let me proceed in it: if not, then revoke my intentions. All I want in life is such circumstances as may best enable me to serve thee in the world: To this end I leave all my concerns in thy hand, but let me not be discouraged, for this hinders my spiritual fervency;..........O that I could be a flame of fire in thy service, always burning out in one continual blaze....Valley of Vision

All of our yesterdays are preparation for today and tomorrow!

So as the sun breaks forth, the hummingbirds dive at the feeder, the mandevilla bursts into unending bloom, the sunflowers droop waiting to share their seeds with the goldfinches...a new day...God creation gives such a welcome to a new day, live it for Him!
