The color of Hope

Tomorrow I head somewhere in the south Carolina country, and 150 or so grad students commence our time at the "grad retreat." The topic is hope, and in attempts to ready my journal, I was trying to picture the color of hope. If you read this and have a second, let me know in which color you picture hope.

  1. I picture hope as pure light, an equal combination of all colors shining from the prism of our Lord.

  2. Green. Because green so often represents some kind of growth, which is demonstrated in its prevelance in the springtime. Often times with growth, there is trial or suffering - as a bud toils to push itself through the crusted winter soil - but with its perserverance it has sprouted and character has followed. And what else is to follow but HOPE! "and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God, not only so but we rejoice in our sufferings...and hope does not disappoint us"
    Romans 5:1-5
Personally speaking, it would be a dark forest kind of green.

  3. Hey Nellie,
It was so good to see the post that you left on my blog. You have been on my mind quite a bit lately and wondering where you were and how to get in contact with you. As fall is approaching I came across thr vermont book you gave to me, while I was in the hospital. It is a wonderful peace to my heart when I open it. It calms me and brings so much joy to me. Thanks my friend. So much has happened over these past few years to write here. Maybe I can call or e-mail you and give more info on my life thus far. take care and live lifeto the fullest.
