Apples are very iffy here in our area. We're in zone 3 and at about 3900 feet elevation in Choteau. When I am able to get apples, I like to make applesauce and dried apples. <br />I love the idea about sprouting grains. Hmmmm, when I moved, where did my sprouter end up? I have a jar of buckwheat that would make great sprouts. <br />Once a month shopping takes some disciple and a thorough shopping list as well as space to store the food. We even bought a used miniature refrigerator that's in our basement for the overflow.<br />Good to hear from you.
